Norman The Salesman

Recently I needed a storage space, so I googled storage spaces in the area. I called several places, was received cordially and given the necessary information. When I spoke with Norman, in Atlanta He asked me several questions about my needs and search. After explaining to him what I was looking for, he gave me the location closest to my home.

He went on to explain to me about the security system and how it was connected to the police. He told me about the how wonderful the manager in this location was. He explained the condition of the location: it was a new facility with climate control and freight elevator. Then he gave me a little about him and how he felt about his job. He really enjoyed working for the company and helping people. He was trying to sell me on the place but without pushing or being aggressive. In the five minutes that I spoke with him I learned a lot about him, his business and his sales technique.

He explained the benefits of his business. How my stuff would be safe in a climate controlled environment. That's what people need to know about your business: Benefits. What are the benefits of your business? will this business make them feel? How will being in business make them feel more secure?

How do you feel about your business? Why are you in this business? Are you thinking and addressing the needs of your client? Are you really giving this person valuable information that they can apply to their search or just a sales pitch?

The social media is about giving people content, valuable information that they can use to better them selves or entertain them selves. When you are out in the internet, think about how you can serve your audience. How can you make a difference in some ones life. That's a tall order. But, sometimes it's what you learn from your little experiences that help others.
