Top 3 Reasons Why People Start Their Own Business From Home
The first thing you need to know is thyself: what are your hobbies; interests; passions; your reasons for starting an internet business. Your Why to start a business has to be bigger than the difficulties that you will encounter to maintain your business. You should not start a business just to pay the bills or have extra cash. This is usually not a big enough why to sustain you when life gets in your way. The best reason to start an online business is to have a product that you would promote even if you were not making any money on it. Do something that you enjoy, something you feel passionate about, promote something you believe in. Then, find a company or start your own company with that special product.
The second thing you have to do is find a company with a great product and exceptional leadership. The company should value the interests of their representatives; supply them with training and the necessary tools to be successful.
One of the biggest reasons people do not succeed with a home-based business is due to the lack of a solid business plan, inexperience in business practices and guidance from their up-line. Most people who start a business online, have never had a business so they have no idea what to look for in a home based business. They jump into a business opportunity and learn by experience. It is time to talk about money.
The third thing and a very important part of the company is the compensation plan. Most people who start a business don't really understand the nuances of the compensation plan of an Internet business. What is a binary plan, a 3*10 matrix, or an affiliate program? The best compensation plan is one that pays you well upfront and has a substantial residual income.
So, if you really want to be successful in a home based business you need to know yourself, know the company and the compensation plan. As well as be disciplined, determined and focused on the goal to succeed. Take some time to do your due diligence and when you find what you are looking for. Have conviction in your decision and don't let anyone or anything deter you from your mission to be a successful entrepreneur.

Norman The Salesman
Recently I needed a storage space, so I googled storage spaces in the area. I called several places, was received cordially and given the necessary information. When I spoke with Norman, in Atlanta He asked me several questions about my needs and search. After explaining to him what I was looking for, he gave me the location closest to my home.
He went on to explain to me about the security system and how it was connected to the police. He told me about the how wonderful the manager in this location was. He explained the condition of the location: it was a new facility with climate control and freight elevator. Then he gave me a little about him and how he felt about his job. He really enjoyed working for the company and helping people. He was trying to sell me on the place but without pushing or being aggressive. In the five minutes that I spoke with him I learned a lot about him, his business and his sales technique.
He explained the benefits of his business. How my stuff would be safe in a climate controlled environment. That's what people need to know about your business: Benefits. What are the benefits of your business? will this business make them feel? How will being in business make them feel more secure?
How do you feel about your business? Why are you in this business? Are you thinking and addressing the needs of your client? Are you really giving this person valuable information that they can apply to their search or just a sales pitch?
The social media is about giving people content, valuable information that they can use to better them selves or entertain them selves. When you are out in the internet, think about how you can serve your audience. How can you make a difference in some ones life. That's a tall order. But, sometimes it's what you learn from your little experiences that help others.

About 3 years ago, I got the bright idea about making money on the internet. Many years ago my friend tried to get me involved but I couldn't see myself getting involved in any type of business. It's funny, he is now out of the business and I tried to pitch my business to him. I was not trained to think like a businessman or see the advantages of being in a business. I was taught about working by the hour, from my working class Puerto Rican family.
I'm a natural born teacher. Worked in community organizations as a teenager and later for the Department of Education of NYC for 26 years. I also love to train and teach martial arts, 30 years. So I'm a teacher by nature and trade not a salesman or a businessman. I had a negative attitude towards business people and salesman. So i figured if I could just affiliate myself with a product, it would sell itself (sure). I joined clickbank and started on my affiliate adventure. Of course I didn't know a thing about affiliate marketing. Soon enough all the affiliate marketers came after me selling their soft wares and hard wares.
I fell into the trap of buying all these tools, books and seminars that would have turned me into an affiliate marketer. About a year later, after spending thousands without making a dime, I got feed up and got out. I learned that the only people making money in affiliate marketing were the affiliate marketers.
Next, I went into mortgage note brokering. I had some extra money, good credit and invested in some notes. I made some good decisions and a lot of bad ones. Maxed out my credit cards and spent tens of thousands on notes that foreclosed. I learned that you have to be shrewd and really do your due diligence.
I'm a physical education and martial arts teacher, so I figured I try a vitamin mlm company. The product was good but I could only promote it to my family and soon stopped.
Now, I'm at a point in my life where I know I can capitalize on my teaching abilities. I know that I can become independently wealthy if I use my teaching skills and martial arts discipline. I know how to motivate people and myself to focus and direct my mental and physical energies towards a specific goal. I will retire soon from teaching and collect a pension. I will dedicate myself towards my business with a different attitude than I had before.
I learned from Michael Doulhy in "Mentoring for free" a different philosophy and attitude towards approaching my business. Business is not about selling but about developing relationship, fulfilling a need and finding people who are interested in the same things I am. I remember, when I wasn't interested in business no one could sell me on the idea that getting into a business was a good idea. No matter what that person said or did I was just not having it. I know a lot of people like that.
It has taken me over three years of trial and error to learn what not to do. Like Thomas Edison whose 10,000 failed experiments where not failures but a learning experience. I have learned so much and I’m ready to share my experiences and help people fulfill their dreams.
